Hello crafty friends,  have you ever a loss of inspiration or your cardmaking mojo? This months challenge is all about being inspired by another crafter. When I lose my mojo I look to other cardmakers to follow their lead back to my own creativity.

Someone who always manages to inspire me with her beautiful water coloring, ink blending and creative cards and mail art is @kristinawerner, a must follow in our crafty world.  So this card was inspired by her. She made a card with colored stamping over ink blending and I loved the idea for this challenge.

I ink blended the top of the panel with reactive inks in blue Hawaii, Splash and Pool Party, and then stamped the beautiful collaborative release from Hero Arts and Gina K for their 45th anniversary over the top in the same colors plus Blue Rasberry, inking up the stamp in a stamp positioner with the dark ink on the top and the lightest on the bottom to emphasize the ombre effect. Then I used Prismacolor color pencils over the top to color the flowers in to give them depth.  Kristina did not do this on her design so it is not necessary if you are trying to go faster but I really liked the added emphasis on this tonal design.

I heat embossed the sentiment with hero arts silver embossing powder and also added a thin strip of heat embossing around the edge of the panel before trimming it down slightly and mounting on a card base of Adriatic cardstock, and added a few stickles dots for embellishment.

You could use any floral stamps you have to make this card and all of your favorite blending combos too!  Give it a shot and make sure to share a card over on A Blog Named Hero to win the challenge prizes for the month.

I hope this inspires you to make something today.
