Well, it is that time of the month again and the A Blog Named Hero Designers, want everyone to celebrate with Hero Arts on their 45th Anniversary. We decided to change from a patterned theme to Celebrate and I had already created this Easy to color, floral patterned background and I think it worked perfectly for a congratulations card.
This design is quick and easy to color and uses just three prismacolor pencils. I used the Blossoms for coloring set and some of Hero’s colored cardstock from the sample pack. I created a grouping in my Misti and stamped one end of the cardstock and then flipped it to stamp the other end, them white heat embossed it. This design could be done on any of the delicious colors with just a simple switch of two of the pencils for contrasting colors. White is the essential pencil here and you could also simply use that and the card would still be lovely. You could go a step further and add some white gel pen here too.
After the simple coloring was finished I cut the edge with a stamp market scalloped border die and stamped the congratulations with Hero Arts Orchid Ink, that matched the Lavender Prismacolor pencil. The Three pencil colors I used were White, Lavender and Blue Violet, they blend and go on so smoothly on this cardstock and create a beautiful palette combined with the paper.
Give this simple and quick design a try with any floral stamps you own to create a fun background in your favorite colors.
