Hello all and Happy Valentines Day! I have been so busy making valentines that I almost forgot about the February Card Kit, but I knew I had to do my Tag for Tag-A-Month and I needed a Valentine for my sweetie (who is definitely a coffee lover like me), so I decided to steer away from the pinks and blues and make him a masculine valentine card that is also a tag.
This is actually two tags that are hinged together at the top so you can stand up the tag and you can write inside it too!
I used the cute coffee bean-patterned paper from Doodlebug and some kraft paper from my stash for the banners and then stamped some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock with Hero Arts Unicorn White ink to create the patterned background for the tag.
I white heat embossed on the vellum for the sentiment and then folded it around the banners. For the cute love heart coffee cups, I stamped them with SSS dark chocolate ink and used distress ink and copper mica spray for the cup wrappers. I added shadows with a Copic W-1 marker. After adding foam tape to the back of both cups, I glued the hearts on and coated them with glossy accents.
A few of those super cute little enamel coffee beans, a die cut hole re-inforcement and a bit of ribbon from my stash finished it off! I am going to tie it to a latte and deliver it to him after lunch! I have an accompanying video that walks you through making the tag. and don’t forget to join me and make a tag this month and post it here if you can. I have a great prize for someone!
