Here we are in July, my Birthday Month and I was so excited when I saw the preview of this kit because I LOVED the papers! I will caveat that by saying that using designer papers is still a challenge for me but how I have overcome it is by layering stamping on top and today by adding both gold embossing and stamping. The kit also featured some distress watercolor paper and I tied that together with the inspiration of the water coloring on the paper and the gold embossing.
I was a little late with this kit due to the holiday and now the kit is sold out but I bet they will bring it back. I did put most of the supplies from the kit below except it appears the papers are not out yet. If not you can still do the technique with other patterned paper you have or simply make some yourself. My idea was to use the inspiration of the painterly backgrounds on the paper and paint the flowers and then add more layers of splatters or dots. In the accompanying video, you can see how I used the spectrum noir sparkle markers and the water brush included in the kit to paint the flowers inside of the embossing, EASY peasy! I matched up ink colors from the paper and then added to the layers by stamping a variety of the leaves and flowers in the golden locks hybrid ink that came with the kit and Hero arts lilac and Simon Mint inks. All supplies listed below the video affiliate links used at no extra cost to you.
I am trying to get the kit sent to me earlier so I can give you a video tutorial for a card that you nor I may not have seen yet, we will see! I hope you enjoy the inspiration and the process! Lee Ann
