Hello there, I got a few new things from Paper Smooches and made two clean and simple cards with a mix of the stamps and dies. I have to say that I love the little birds 2 die because you get not only the little bird shapes in card 1 below but also a lovely outlined little birds like in the card below this one.
I used the the bird die and dotted border die and cut through the cover sheet, removed the inside birdy shapes and colored them with wink of stella and applied glossy accents to them and glued them down, they are so bright and happy! I then stampd the sentiment from the woofs and tweets set above the dots, but you could have also added just a simple hello at the birdies feet. I think I will make both these cards again and even make the angle of the dots die more extreme, you could also color behind it if it was on a lighter piece of card stock and not craft.
I then mounted the panel with foam tape and voila, ready to fly off to a friend.
For the second card I am taking the creative chemistry classes at www.onlinecardclasses.com and wanted to use a combination of distress paint and stamping with paint. I started with a stain but really liked the cracked pistachio with the crystallized amber on the paper smooches art blocks stamp (love these by the way for adding texture to all sorts of projects.)
After gluing down the two bird outlines from the die cut, I embossed with another sentiment from the woofs and tweets set and splattered a little white distress paint on top. Then flat mounted it on white 110# Neenah solar white card. These two were fast and easy to make apart from the glossy accents and paint drying but that was just an opportunity to think up more ideas for these great dies and stamps. FUN!
Supplies below and of course they are never at any additional cost to you, at this point I have not ever made any commission from sales, but I like to see exactly what other crafters are using and where it is available. I buy my supplies and only share what I like using. If I am ever given something to try I let you know my honest thoughts.
You’ve, been paper smooched! Lee Ann
