Hello, it is a beautiful day here and I got some new stamps and dies and needed to make a quick and simple card for a couple of friends that I had invited to come away for a beach weekend. I used the Reverse Confetti Pineapples Aplenty stamp set and cut a window with the matching die to reveal the Welcome pineapple.
This used to be much harder to achieve because you would have to stamp through the die cut which could lead to ink around the edges or a bad impression and you certainly could not layer on the color like I did with the Misti. I have to say, the more I use the Misti the more I bless the day it came into existence! You can do so much with it. I have the original and I like the bigger size. Anyhow the trick to this card is: using the Misti and placing your die cut card front in the Misti, placing the stamp inside the

1- using the Misti and placing your die cut card front in the Misti, placing the stamp inside the die cut window, closing the door so it picks up the stamp in the perfect placement.
2-flipping the card over so now you have the inside of the card in the same place in the Misti where the cover was and inking up and stamping the image.
3- Add additional colors to the element you are stamping and wipe or smudge away some of the color, to layer it and add depth without having any layering stamps.
I thought it might be easier to show you so here is a quick video that shows exactly how I did it.
After I finished the stamping I added Wink of Stella and Glossy accents to one of the two separate cards and stamped an additional sentiment on the inside.
Imagine the possibilities for window cards that could even be scenes using the Misti because you have exact control of the placement. And the color layering works beautifully because you are not trying to position the clear stamp exactly over the previous image. Something that I have never managed to do especially when there is a sentiment.
Enjoy the video- Supplies are linked below and are at no additional cost to you, simply help you to know exactly what I used, if you want the exact same things.
See you soon and Happy Spring- Lee Ann
