Hello there, back with a fun easter or spring card that you can easily make multiples of using the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit _Peep Hugs and some new watercolors from Prima the tropicals collection.
First I watercolored the backgrounds with the new Tropical collection Prima Watercolors, I love these because the colors are really bright and there is a lot of pigment but it is still more sheer than the Gansai ones, so I think that the layering and blending is better.
While they were drying I die cut vellum banners with this pretty pink posh die and then embossed them with Hero Arts white embossing powder- This is important because I stamped them on the reverse side so that you could get a nice color mix but still have the white really pop! I flipped the banners over and used the medium sized peep in the stamp set to stamp a pattern in three different ink colors, then used a signo pen to add a dashed line around the edge following the stiched die lines.
When the watercolors had dried I trimmed them down and rounded the corners with my corner chomper, and added foam tape to the backs t attach to the card base. I ran two of them through an embossing folder as well and I really liked the textured background with the watercolor.
I attached the vellum to the panel with some transparent tape runner behind the embossed sentiment and along the top where I added the twine. I added gems to each colored with a matching copic marker color, and some of the pretty sequins in the kit. That is it. You can see the video here or on You Tube! As usual supplies are listed below.
