Well hello there, when I saw this kit I loved the greetings and the balloons but wanted to use some dies in new ways so I ended up making two cards and using the patterned paper as well to compliment the die cuts. I added a video below for the little window card as well. Check it out.
First up I had an Avery Elle die that was for making little windows or doors on your projects and when I saw the designer paper with the little sayings I immediately thought it would be cute to put them behind the flaps and reveal Birthday wishes.
I used Scuba, Hot Lips and Sunshine Simon Says Stamp Die ink which matched the designer papers perfectly and used all of the little decorative stamps in the kit to decorate with. The inside of the card was going to be important as well so I put the main sentiment “Birthday Wishes there because it went with the little wishes on the paper.
Then I moved on to the next card which wanted to use an Avery Elle balloon die that I have. I wanted to do a partial die cut and have the patterned paper on the inside.
To do the partial die cut I aligned the edge of my cutting plate with the fold of the card so that there would be no pressure on the left side of the balloon on the left. After cutting them out I stamped the sentiment and other balloons in the matching ink colors same as above and then added clear wink of stella to the balloons. This was a quick and easy card to make and could easily be repeated with the birthday girl or boy’s favorite colors of balloons and patterned paper. Hope you like it! Supplies listed below. Lee Ann
