Late Summer Easing into FALL!

I am so not ready for fall!  It seems as though summer just flew by, and I am not yet ready to start making Halloween and Christmas cards.  I wanted to make some transitional cards that would be somewhat summery but start bringing in some of the colors of fall so I got busy starting with this set that I used a technique from Jennifer Mcguire you can check it out here, where you create the color blends with distress ink and then layer on Perfect Pearls then emboss with an embossing folder.  IMG_5684
Then it was just a matter of die cutting the sentiments and I also used some scrapbooking stickers from my stash (made this even easier!). You could do colors or white here as well. This is a really fun technique that you could do many kinds of cards with more to come here for sure!

I moved on to a stamp set that I have been dying to use the Alte New floral scrolls and using a crazy combination of stamps from my collection.

Mix up your stamps, transition to fall color.

I used Zig clean color markers with the white embossing resist to create the peonies and then matched the green leaves to the pattern in the backgroundI used products from all of my favorite brands and loved  playing with the zig markers.
