Hello! Summer is going by so fast and I have to catch up on posts, we went on an amazing trip with the family to France and Italy (pictures and a travel journal to show soon) and by the time I got home my July card kit was waiting for me but the fourth was over, so although I LOVE the papers in the kit I wanted to stay away from the red, white and blue and see if I could use the kit in a different way and create two cards from the two sheets of cream and navy paper included.  I also wanted to use  platinum embossing powder on the navy because I really like the elegant look of the metallic on  a darker paper.

The cards came out beautifully a couple tips for you here that I had to cut out of the video- Do use an anti-static embossing buddy or powder tool! I forgot and by the time I got to the waves my hand had touched the paper enough that I got some embossing powder that I could not remove with a paintbrush- I think it actually works because it is in the waves only and looks a bit like water (there was no going back at that point since I was working with limited supplies,  but you definitely need to remember this when working with fine details. Also I have been setting up my designs with a new method using a sketch and then test stamping it when I am going to create it on video, this saves me time and messing up, but it is also a great  way to get your creative juices flowing and to test out a layout with the stamps. below is a picture of my tiny sketch and then an actual test with the stamps on scrap paper.

This really helps me remember the position of things as well as have the freedom to make adjustments as I go along.  You can also take a picture with your phone as you lay things out. The other good thing about doing it on paper though is that it tempers your stamps if they are new.  Below is the video for the cards and the products used enjoy and please leave me any comments or questions or subscribe .  Hope this was Inspiring.
